YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO READ THIS POSTER (2012) is an image about the fossil fuel divestment movement. It was commissioned by 350.org for the Do the Math Tour, and launches from the speeches given on that tour by Bill McKibben and Naomi Klein. The tour and this image we both designed to kickstart campaigns around the USA (and later Australia, as well) for schools, businesses and municipalities to sever their financial ties to the fossil fuel industry through economic divestment. This image lays out (from right to left) a detailed history, science and tactics lesson to contexualize Divestment as a critical tool in how we fight climate change.
